Reset a User Password in QuickBooks Desktop

To Reset a User Password in QuickBooks Desktop, follow these steps:

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop and log in as the Admin user.

  2. Go to the "Company" menu and select "Set Up Users and Passwords" and then "Set Up Users."

  3. In the "User List" window, select the user whose password you want to reset.

  4. Click on the "Edit User" button.

  5. In the "Edit User" window, click on the "Change Password" button.

  6. Enter a new password for the user in the "New Password" field. Make sure to create a strong and unique password.

  7. Confirm the new password by retyping it in the "Confirm New Password" field.

  8. Optionally, you can select the "Require password change" checkbox if you want the user to change their password the next time they log in.

  9. Click on the "Next" button and then "Finish" to save the changes.

  10. Inform the user of their new password and ask them to log in using it.
